ABOUT DOS ABUELAS CARES

Dos Abuelas Cares is a Boricua-led nonprofit feeding bodies, uplifting spirits, and fighting food insecurity across Puerto Rico.

Born from the kitchens of my abuelas, we provide hot meals and food support to university students, create solar-powered community farms that grow fresh produce and clean energy, and teach culinary skills to youth from low-income families and foster care.

Our mission is rooted in dignity, culture, and opportunity — rebuilding Puerto Rico through food, education, and the power of community.

Everybody eats. Everybody matters. We’re here to plant seeds, feed our people, and reclaim what’s ours.

Our Programs

These programs are the seeds of our mission. We feed students, grow sustainable farms, and teach the next generation - all rooted in the belief that Puerto Rico deserves food security, clean energy, and opportunities built on us own land.

Comida Pa' Los Estudiantes

No student should ever go hungry. We provide hot meals, food boxes, and essential supplies so university students can stay in school with dignity and stability.

Solar-Powered Community Farms

We're building Puerto Rico's next generation of solar-powered farms-fresh food grown on Boricua soil, clean renewable energy, and community strength during blackouts and emergencies.

Culinary Training for Youth

We teach cooking skills, kitchen safety, and food creativity to kids and teens from low-income families and foster care. Our program builds confidence, discipline, and real pathways into culinary careers.

Your support helps us feed students, build community farms, run youth culinary programs, and operate our non-profit food truck - a mobile kitchen that lets us serve meals, deliver food boxes and reach communities across Puerto Rico. Every donation moves our programs forward.
